IMPORTANT NOTICE: VA PTA Membership Dues Increase from $.75 to $1.00
The Virginia PTA Board of Managers deliberately works to be good stewards of our members' money, to provide outstanding services to our members, and to be strong advocates for children and education. The Virginia PTA budget provides for all of the programs offered to local units at both the district and state level. Income received from dues provides 67% of the VA PTA annual budget while merchandise sales are only 3% of the budget and other income is 30%.
In order to continue to offer our current services and programs and to further expand those offerings, the VA PTA has increased state dues to $1.00 per member beginning July 1, 2010. We want to continue to offer the highest level of service to our members, students and families. More importantly, we want to continue to advocate for ALL children. |

PTA - The Best Resource for Parents

As the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation, Parent Teacher Association (PTA) reminds our country of its obligations to children and provides parents and families with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child while providing the best tools for parents to help their children be successful students.
PTA does not act alone. Working in cooperation with many national education, health, safety, and child advocacy groups and federal agencies, the national
PTA organization collaborates on projects that benefit children and that bring valuable resources to its members. Learn more about PTA.
