Meet Wendy Logan, Virginia PTA Volunteer Committee Chair

Like many of you, I started my PTA career as a room parent when my oldest son went to kindergarten. My oldest son just finished his freshman year at VA Tech. I guess the years are going by quickly. I have served as a local unit president as well as a council president. It has been a wonderful experience serving on Virginia PTA Board of Managers. I have met so many talented people from across the state. As chairman of the Volunteer Committee, one of my favorite moments was introducing our selections
for Volunteer of the Year at Convention last year. Recognizing these outstanding individuals is an honor. I am looking forward to receiving this year’s nominees.

On a personal note, I have lived in the Richmond area for the past twenty years. I recently moved out of suburbia to a more rural setting and love it. I enjoy reading, shopping and catching up with friends. My favorite gift was race car lessons at Richmond International Raceway. My next adventure will be riding in a hot balloon. I have been working as a graphic designer and recently began working for a company doing business development.

From one volunteer to another, thank you for making our PTAs successful.
