Outstanding Communications Program Award

Communication is the key to an effective and successful PTA. Every school community has unique features and it is the effective PTA that recognizes this when choosing how to communicate with its members and community at large. Each year, the Virginia PTA recognizes local units, councils and districts who exhibit exemplary communications methods with their members, school administration and the community at large. Entry deadline is May 1, 2011, but late entries will be accepted through May 15, 2011. Winners will be announced and published at the annual Leadership Training Conference, held in July. The application for the award has been shortened and streamlined to make it easier and faster than ever to apply. Click for the eligibility requirements and the application.

Prizes for 2011 will be: a $100 Staples or Office Depot gift card (your choice) for the first place winners at the Elementary and Secondary levels. Second prize will be a $50 gift card at both levels.
