Is there is a student who promotes special leadership abilities, which your local unit would like to recognize? A Student Leadership Award may be presented in recognition and appreciation of their leadership skills and efforts through your local unit or through the community on behalf of children and youth. A congratulatory letter from the State President will accompany the Student Leadership Award certificate for presentation to the recipient. (The money goes into the Scholarship Fund to be used toward scholarships to assist college-bound students planning to enter service-oriented careers.) You may award more than one, but please use a separate form for each.

Recognition of outstanding service to children and youth on the part of an educator or community leader may be shown by the presentation of an Honorary Life Membership. Honorary Life Membership entitles the recipient in addition to the distinction of the award, guest privileges at State Convention without payment of registration fee as a non-voting member. HONORARY LIFE MEMBERS MAY BECOME ACTIVE MEMBERS UPON PAYMENT OF ANNUAL DUES. This Life Membership-Scholarship Program grows with each Life Membership and through this fund Virginia PTA is able to assist college students with service-oriented careers.
